its my fifth day in korea le, time seems to past slower here cos the sun rise up at ard 6am and only set ard 7 or 8pm. they have longer day time here. Frankly speaking, i felt tt im already been here for very long and im having the "wan to go home soon" thoughts. LOLS. anyway, daejeon is a little colder than i tot and i happily tot tt one jacket would be enough since its SUMMER. but im wrong, its like even colder than the coldest singapore weather we ever had. i had to wear like triple layers before i step out of my dorm. Anyway, as KAIST is like on a "mountain top", we had to walk ard 2km to find food for the fers day as canteen was already closed by then.

OH YAH!! i forgot to mention this. When we were at the luggage belt to collect our luggage, i happily took this luggage of the same design as mine and to realise tt its actually smaller than mine. Cos we were like the almost last batch to collect the luggage, and there werent many luggage left on the belt, i knew someone must have taken mine in mistake. i panicked a little and quickly sought help from the ppl at the lost and found counter. It seems like someone ( more blur than me) tot tt my luggage( same design) was theirs but din realise that its of diff size. i made a report and checked out without any luggage. BUT only when i stepped out, i saw this auntie sitting at the waiting area with my luggage. gosh, luckily she haven went off and was waiting for the rest of her tour group. DAMN HENG! of cos, i quickly approached her to take my luggage back. And it seems like she din even realise she took the wrong luggage. =.='''
from incheon airport to daejeon, we took a 3 hr bus. and i sat in it until my butt aches, esp when its right after the 6 hrs plane ride. i could have died from Deep Vein Thrombosis. lols.

we missed the bus stop in daejeon and took it all the way to its terminal. so, we decided to take a taxi from the terminal to KAIST. Due to communication breakdown, it took us qt awhile before the taxi driver understand where we wanna go. =.='''
at kaist, we had a small mini orientation. met this researcher who is from sg and he brought us ard in daejeon and for dinner.

2nd day, we slept till qt late and was almost time for lunch. so anthony brought us to this professors' lounge to eat bimbibap. it was real good. but i couldnt finished it cos i took too much rice. lols.

after the lunch, we went back to our dorm to rest and went out again at ard 2pm. we went gai gai to the same place we went for dinner ytd and it was super ulu-fied.

we had pizzas and gimbap for dinner and watched some performance at night.
3rd day, we were all packed up and ready for seoul. we took the ktx ( most expensive but newest and fastest) to seoul. The train was travelling at 300km/h and it was so fast tt i keep having ear block. But actually, u cun really feel the speed inside the train. hahas. anyway, the tix costs me 22,000 won.

after one hour's ride, we reached seoul.
seoul station. this is the place where we always see in korean dramas. we din stay long there as we need head for our guesthouse in myeong dong.

we walked qt long before we reached Namshan guesthouse. after settling down and unpacking our things, we head for the one of the palace in seoul. i forgot the name, but it suppose to be the biggest there.
and on our way there, we met the riot police, all geared up for the demonstration against some beef laws. and we were so super "heng" to be actually in the demonstration zone. Polices and anti-riot buses and trucks were seen along the roads. Super scary. but still we carried on and entered the palace which needs an entrance fee of 3000 won.

we gt out of the palace and saw more riot bus and police. so while we were walking back to myeong dong, i took a couple of pictures of the police. lols. saw a couple of handsome ones in the troops. HAHAS..

we shopped alittle ard myeong dong and dong da men and headed back to the guesthouse only ard 12am. So the next day, we only managed to woke up at 10 plus am. we quickly pack our things to check out but the owner of the guesthouse was nice enough to help us keep our stuff temporarily. So we headed for nan da men.

super crowded and i hate to be shoved by the koreans. For them, it seems like its okay to shove the person infront of u aside. I was pushed away many many times and gt touched on the butt many many times also. T.T by both uncles and aunties.

end of our shopping trip in seoul. these are our shopping bags. madness right? hahas.
this time, we took a slower, older but cheaper train back to daejeon. costs only half of ktx. 10500 won. but i like this more cos its bigger and you can turn the seats ard like in those korean dramas and its so much cheaper too.

It was a 2 hrs ride and it was almost 9 when we reached daejeon. i took a video of the scenery during the train ride and manage to catch the sun set. the last 2 mins was superb.
AND, the moment we stepped out of the station, we were surprised by huge crowds. They are on demonstration too.
luckily, they dispersed while we were having our dinner in the station. we took a taxi back to our dorm and that ends our trip.
